My entryway was always crap that was on sale. And the only aisles I traditionally cared about were the 3 or so action figure aisles, but I knew the rest of the store pretty well anyway just because I found it fun to wander through, as a kid and as an adult.
I remember when they had actual warehouse aisles instead of meandering, low displays.
‘Member the video game aisle full of pull tags, which you brought up front to the merchandise pick-up desk and they’d get you the actual game from the stockroom?
I remember that, when we had finally convinced our parents to take us there, I was totally disappointed by those warehouse aisles, which had nothing in common with the marvelous toy-store advertised on tv.
Bonus, Malaya: You’ll actually be sexually and romantically attracted to her, too! (See previous comments I made somewhere recently about reading Malaya as aspec what with the Leslie storyline.)
I mean, she’s a sex-repulsed ace, but she is willing to have sex with you from a distance all the same so long as you don’t get your gross human fluids on her chassis proper.
Knowing where Ultra Car’s arc heads very shortly after this does lend an interesting interpretation to her actions in this storyline. (Keeping it vague for anyone who hasn’t read/doesn’t remember this arc)
It’s funny that my old hometown Toys ‘R’ Us, I only remember like four aisles
entryway: PLUSHES
aisles 1/2: vidya games/game guides
aisles 3-?: ???
aisle ?: bikes
aisles after that: …idk some other toys idgaf about
just came to mind when I saw the bike spokes
My entryway also had board games!
… I miss that Toys R Us.
All I remember about any Toys”ᴙ”Us I’ve ever been in is where the Legos were.

@Needfuldoer
Yes. Yes so much. That was my ToysRUs. The late stage meandering ones always felt weird and off.

I don’t even remember what the aisles in my local Toys R Us used to look like, they closed when I was very young.

Oh look, it’s Better Malaya!
Better than who?
DoA Malaya, I guess.
I mean. it’s a real “would you rather be punched in the face or whacked on the back of the head” question, but possibly by some metrics, just.
Better Malaya doesn’t exist and can’t redeem her.
