This day.
on March 26, 2018 at 12:01 amWalky’s just always on an endless cycle of rebounds, isn’t he.
Goddammit, every single one of those serifed “I”s that’s not a pronoun sends me into a tiny rage. NO. Bad!
Eventually, these comics will not be copy-pasted from a script I wrote beforehand, and this should go away. Eventually.
I don’t remember this story arc, but I get the feeling something is going to happen on that day and they’ll have to postpone.
Yeah, that’s kind of being lampshaded here, isn’t it?
just take all the serifs out and change every pronoun “I” to Sal’s “ah”
PROBLEM SOLVED
also, I remember finally setting a date and YAY BLEEDING TIME

Yeah, that was my wedding.
That’s normal. It can be triggered by stress.
Being both male and British, I completely misunderstood this post on first reading.
The source of PMT, then
You think that’s bad? Try reading manga scanlations after knowing the rule about serifed I’s. Literally everyone does it wrong.
There’s a rule about Serifed I’s?
Follow-up question, the fuck is a Serifed I?
Serifed means those small horizontal lines at the top and bottom of the I. Wasn’t aware there’s rules about them, though, I just thought you always or never got them depending on the font used.
IIRC, the tradition in comic lettering is to use serifs when a standalone “I” is being used as a pronoun, but not when it’s part of a word. Since lettering is usually done in all caps, it’s not necessary to distinguish the capital I from the lower case l. (Disclaimer: I am not an expert, I could be wrong.)
That seems to be what Willis is referring to. And if I understand correctly, because he cut-and-pasted into his lettering font, capital “I”s in the script became serifed “I”s in the comic.
Willis managed to write these two as being very sweet no matter what the context. I wonder if Joyce and Walky were his ideal romantic pairing for a while there?
Am I alone in feeling that people who makes PLANS for when they are going to have sex are extremely creepy? Like it’s being reduced to a chore.
I think that, given it’s a first time and Joyce has huge entrenched cultural issues that make her feel it’s wrong on some level, prior warning so she can psych herself up for it may not be entirely amiss. That said, it will also give her time to make up excuses not to do it so it’s a bit of give-and-take there.
There’s been some study that suggests that, at least for stable couples, scheduling sex results in more frequent sex.
That makes it even creepier! Sex shouldn’t be forced.
