The burial place of your alternate universe counterpart

And that’s a wrap for… this segment of the finale. Yay, more gravestones! Only the best Walkyverse stories end in visits to cemeteries.
Danny’s trying to be affable here, but really he’s just coming off as an asshole. He’s Walkyverse Danny, so that tracks.
I think Baby Deej figured it out early that Daddy just needs to shut it all around
Does Danny know where he was going with that? I sure don’t but it wasn’t going anyplace good, that’s for sure
Sal telling Danny to shut up feels like character growth somehow, considering how much she put him on a pedestal.
Danning it up, as usual.
danny why
(we’ve got one more cemetery to see, right? never got a subscription so I’ve got no clue what all happens from here on out)
Second funniest take on “parents should never outlive their kids” in the Walkyverse by a fairly significant margin.
What’s the first?
“Hey, I’m so sorry Amber. You should never have to outlive a pet.
No wait, that’s crazy, unless we’re talking about turtles.“I hoped so <3
I mean this isn’t that bad by Walkyverse Danny standards. He really does seem to be genuinely trying to be comforting, which is better than anything he said after Ruth died.
No, I’m just distracted by him being “behind on [his] Star Trek.” This is 2008, right? I’ll admit I know very little about Trek, but I’m pretty sure there’s no series to be caught up on. Is Howard trying to get him to watch all five series and ten movies before the 2009 reboot comes out just so that Danny will understand all of his petty complaints? I suppose Danny owes him big-time, so maybe.
Yeah, the issue is honestly that his ex/kid’s alternate reality mom is there, grieving, and it would probably have been polite to keep the monologue with his DJ (who is both alive and also his daughter with Billie) until she’d left. Having her here, I could see it kind of rubbing into Sal that this kid who she only knew for a very brief time and died to keep her alive will never exist in this reality. Definitely not Danny’s intention, but Sal’s not in a great place here and she’s not full of good coping strategies to begin with.
Ah, brain wasn’t engaged, it’s only one line TO DJ, but either way I think Sal wasn’t in a good place to talk to her ex right now at all because he’s her ex and his choices preclude a DJ like this one existing. Which is totally his prerogative, but Sal knows the kid died FOR HER so maybe let her take priority here and be quiet for a bit, Danny?
You know that Sal is not coping because she was rude to Danny (deservedly).
The best thing Danny could do right now is just shut up.
