Sit here like dead wood
on January 29, 2014 at 12:01 amChapter: Girls at the Door
Characters: Danny Wilcox, Jennifer Billingsworth
Location: Danny's parents' house
Baka Danny, I was only after your alcohol! You are a real idiot, aren’t you? No one likes you, especially not me.
Joke’s on you Billie, Danny has proven many times over that he is a beer ninja. He’ll have another one in hand before you even start sipping that one.
She should know. She’s the one who taught him, after all.
Danny may be a beer ninja but Billie is a beer vampire. . .
They fight crime.
“I’m only after your booze,” is more plausible than, “I expect you, Danny, to listen to and empathize with another human being.”
Yeah, especially after taking a long bus ride to get said beer.
“Danny, I have to tell you… Several years from now, there was a retcon so that me and Ruth were totally bangin’. You caused the death of my soulmate, so now I have to bang you, too.”
Oh, wait, no she just wanted beer.
By killing her, he has absorbed her power. Billie senses this, unconsciously.
There was a part of me that always thought that Danny had a thing for Ruth too and that his and Billie’s relationship was base on them both mutually wanting to date Ruth.
Which makes things….. interesting…. or weird….
I’m pretty sure that Billie wants to be the meat in that sandwich.
Actually, she came to the right place. Sitting here like dead wood is what Danny does best.
I wonder if Billie likes Danny in this weird ironic way, where she just can’t stop being surprised by how boring he is, or imagine the next incredibly dense thing he’s going to say.
Second panel Danny looks disturbingly like modern DOA!Danny, actually. Nice to see the art evolution in action
It’s the blank expression that does it methinks.
That mock-bad-anime dialog is surprising accurate.
