Joyce is an unwanted nuisance who he sees constantly, Sal is an old friend who he hasn’t seen for months. Also, it might be easier for him to pick up on “Sal” when he is in the mindset of “What happened to that girl that disappeared?”
Danny has made if very clear that he did not want Joyce’s attention. She was a crazy stalker. Of course he’s going to care more about his girlfriend, whom he loves, who disappeared than about the crazy annoying stalker.
Also, he just got a friend killed, so that’s been on his mind. If he did kinda notice Joyce was gone before today, it was probably a relieved thought of “thank goodness she’s not bugging me right now, I really need space and time to think about things.”
You’d think that he’d notice the lack of ode de la Stakher.
How’d he not notice? This would be the ultimate time to try and be Florence Nightingale to win his heart.
Dude is self-absorbed.
To be fair, his idiocy did just kill someone. That’d be on his mind for a while.
Then again, he is a self-absorbed idiot so it could be that he just wouldn’t notice anything if he didn’t have a roommate to begin with… XD
Wait, Danny’s somehow managed to not notice Joyce being missing for TWO WEEKS?!?!?
He’s probably had a lot on his mind, y’know what with being responsible for the death of a friend and all.
She’s his stalker. If he doesn’t see her it just means she’s hiding in his closet or has finally managed to plant cameras in his room.
Danny: “What do you mean she’s in Colorado eating 79-cent burritos??”
I’m wondering, how far off are we from Year Zero at this point?
7 months, 13 days.
He doesn’t notice Joyce has been gone for 2 weeks, but he picks up on ‘Sal’.
Selective hearing … and sight I guess.

Ah I was wrong. Ruth Died TWO Weeks ago and Joyce is missing…wait is Danny seriously only noticing this now?
Oh, nevermind he heard Sal was around so screw Joyce I guess.
