Growth and change are, I’ve noticed, consistently things Head Alien has real trouble dealing with–it’s especially noticeable in the way his manipulations of the Walkertons and Joyce get less effective over time, but he never changes tactics. There’s elements of that in his refusal to notice Leslie’s character development as well.
Here we see that it applies just as much internally as it does externally, as he comes within inches of having a genuine epiphany about how self-defeating he is and then immediately reverts to form.
That does raise some questions, though. Do the aliens discriminate each other based on which side their claw is on, like Sneetches and their stars? Do they need to manufacture left- and right-handed scissors, or do they make ones that fit their claws? What if their dominant hand is their claw?
Resurrection restores the body to the state it was in before death (plus the mirroring). So even if he used to have a hand where his claw is, the chamber wouldn’t put it back. Example, Amber wanted to resurrect her hamster over in Shortpacked! but Mike told her it’d just be dying all over again.
Though that does raise the question of just how old an injury or illness has to be before the resurrection chamber ignores it.
Not true; the resurrection chamber can restore lost limbs. (I would cite my sources but it’s the spoiler to end all spoilers.) Snkrs was a matter of being restored to the same AGE as they were at time of death. Resurrection’s sort of super expensive and hamster life span caps out at three years.
What do you mean? He’s got a complete alien body; just reversed left to right. If you mean the claw, that’s biological. It’s a natural part of his alien physiology.
Head Alien knows there’s no time to be sad. He can be sad when he’s dead.
You know, again.

Obviously Head Alien can go back to doing the same sort of stuff he did before he died, since he knows if he dies he can just be brought back again.
So I have to ask… if he was resurected, with a new body, why didn’t he get a new hand?
he did, it was just on the opposite side
he also got a new claw
He just… has a claw? The other aliens don’t have claws?
The other Aliens do have claws.
There doesn’t seem to be much consistency on which side is the claw and which is the hand. They’re very…Sprite-y, that way.
Well, shit. I guess I haven’t been paying attention.
This is Sierra Mist-y.

Head Alien thinks of himself as being the type of person to fall into a pile of shit and come out holding a gold nugget.
When has that ever happened to somebody?
He just… has a claw? The other aliens don’t have claws?
misread that as “some thigh rash” and wondering wtf the HA was planning.
Sheningaaaans
I like how the helmet of his environment suit can transfer his oh-so-anthropomorphic facial expressions. xD
where’s the new strip?
I think it might be a little late.
Probably a result of the two backwards comics that had to be reset.
Backwards comics…?
This one and the one previous were accidently flipped.
I’m assuming just correcting this may have interrupted something.
based on no evidence.
Yeah, it’s about an hour late.
