Dina is, like, REALLY trying to be in an abusive relationship, putting in Mike’s mouth all of the usual excuses, but Mike doesn’t seem to be having it.
Dina is the one being abusive here, to be honest, but it is a weird sort of thing where she’s like “No, Mike, I know you’re good on the INSIDE despite literally no evidence suggesting this!”
What I find interesting is Walkyverse Dina really is the same personality as DoA Dina. She’s desperately lonely and has zero idea how to interact with other human beings. Two traits that feed off of each other and make each other worse. In DoA she has Amber and eventually other friends that are willing to gently dissuade her from bad behavior. In Walkyverse she has Mike, who pretends to be helping her while encouraging her to do things that will make her more miserable, which eventually backfired on him. I feel sorry for Dina here. Her actions are horrible but she does not know any better.
LIES
Nice dinosaur.
I’m involved now.
A needle pulling thread
Walky, I don’t think this is such a great idea.
Dina forgets to hire a contractor.
Someone might hear you!
Professor!
Dina, can I speak to you alone-like?
So what are we here for?
The apartment doesn’t look too different
Try not to take what Mike says seriously
Walkerton, they know about Monkey Master!
What’s happening?
Where’d Joyce go?
Whoa, boy! Down, boy!
Investigative reports
This is so surreal.
Fermiliar
Hacked
You don’t think that anymore!
Still pondering
Sal says to set off the charges
Ah told her
Forgive us
This is so surreal.
I’m glad to see the end of this fucked-up relationship.
Dina you are a horrible human being.

I like the depth in panel two.
The minute your taking relationship advice from Mike, you know you fucked up!
One small snag
Whoa, boy! Down, boy!
What happened to the NEW YOU?
He’s adorable!
Did we win?
Wait, is this the end of this story? Thank god. I imagined it going on much longer.

… Oh, fuck. You actually put into words why I don’t hate Dina despite this arc. Thank you.
Double the thanks.
“You yell because you care.”
Unacceptable!
