See ya never, Vulcan Vandal.
Also, that guy in the third panel with the cape and the witches hat? Real guy. We didn’t have a very nice name for him.
Just grab a random nerd and take him home. Why be picky?
Did the name rhyme with “witch”?
…wait, I don’t think that works here…
Perhaps it was Witch Tits?
Blood Ninj-a?
Look on the bright side Billie, you may finally be able to get those pictures of Spiderman that your Editor keeps asking people for.
Am I alone in checking the Alt-Text for this site’s comics, just to make sure that I don’t miss one if it get’s slipped in?
Nope.
I bet you were having fun with the facial expressions.
I’m not entirely convinced we haven’t seen the last of Vulcan Vandal. Not because he has anything resembling plot relevance, the based-off-specific-Internet-people characters never do, but because that second panel expression says “One day, at least fifteen years from now, I am going to snap and become a supervillain and attack a toy store.”
I like to think that the notes that Billie appears to be taking actually just say, “A bunch of losers did a bunch of loser stuff.”
I tend to think similar things about folks that sit in football stadiums with their faces painted their team’s colors. It just goes to show people like what they like and really shouldn’t try to force themselves to be around things they don’t like. This is why even reporters tend to specialize.
Digging the Robo-Vac poster in the background. That guy’s kind of like “Where’s Waldo” in this strip.
Ruth seems a bit more emotional in Roomies!, or at least admiring of people who’ve found a source of happiness. But then, maybe she’s just showing it more.
Ruth and Billie have an actual relationship here, they and Walky grew up together with Ruth as their babysitter. makes sense she’d be more open with them.
Can’t tell if Howard’s waving in the first panel…
Or messing up the Vulcan salute.
