Quick, gotta retcon Mary into my strip’s backstory!
Joe should stick it on his head and then bang on it.
Surely not his OWN head?
[yay for unclear modifiers!]
That’s not how Joe usually likes to bang.
I wonder what a Danny/Mary relationship would have been like. Would Danny have lightened her up a bit or would she have made him cold and judgemental?
She wouldn’t have _made_ him cold and judgmental, he would’ve just _remained_ cold and judgmental.
Danny was judgemental but I wouldn’t call him cold.
Danny/Mary would have resulted in a divorce after several years. Then the world would have ended since Danny wouldn’t have been there to calm down Sal during her moment of need.
And a thousand voices from the fandom arose, calling out “Bludgeon! Bludgeon! Bludgeon him now before it’s too late!”
AND THEN GO FOR MARY!
But this is the past, and that would cause a time paradox!
And a thousand voices from the fandom arose, calling out “Who cares? Bludgeon! Bludgeon! Bludgeon!”
I think both… in that order.
… Holy shit you’re trying to retcon her in so that she can become Danny’s new love interest and Joe can say he told him so, aren’t you Past Willis.
No WONDER she tanked.
Nah, at this point I think I was already shipping Billie and Danny pretty hard.
At what point did you give up on Danny/Sal being destined for each other?
I’m pretty sure around the time Danny’s bike was stolen.
Makes you wonder how different the world would’ve been if Willis’s bike was never stolen.
Man, I can’t take Joe saying ‘pal’ seriously.
Where did that bucket come from? Joe, are you in fact an anime character?
There’s a pissed-off custodian just off-panel.
Joe, use the barf bucket THEN bludgeon Danny with it. Sheesh.
I think it would have made this strip slightly less baffling if you’d put the “THREE YEARS AGO” in the top corner.
I choose to believe the coloring here isn’t the result of a flashback sequence and is just how high schools in Indiana look.
Yay, retcons!
And by all means, Joe, bludgeon away.
oh, if only the barf bucket had been comically oversized. A missed opportunity.
That’s the spirit, Danny! Insanity is nothing to be asha—WHO SAID THAT???

Will there be a newer poll than the Bart O'Ryan one?
