According to this theory, http://imgur.com/gallery/pswDP the arms-crossed removal is less about being sexy and more about how shirts are made. Which would also mean Joe is wearing a woman’s shirt.
They’re not wrong about the make of the shirt affecting what motion is easier, but even in that case it’s relative. My spouse takes most of his t-shirts off that way — but he’s also both tall and broad and so relatively speaking t-shirts are shorter on him than most men.
I don’t recall exactly how tall Joe’s supposed to be, but he’s taller and broader than most of the other men in the comic. The same may apply!
(Also, as it happens I myself take off all shirts, including longer men’s cut t-shirts, with crossed arms. It’s not more difficult for me, even with the different cut, because it’s a motion I’m very practiced at. If it’s what you habitually do, it’s easier.)
Grab the backside at the bottom with one hand, then pull up towards and over your head, then use both hands to pull it off while you are flaying around. That’s how I’ve always done it, any other way would feel like ‘putting on a show’ by now.

When did Joyce ever look like the little sister Joe never had? They’re the same age, and they met in college.
How you act colors others’ perception of you.
You could cut the awkwardness with a knife.
No, it’s too thick. A chainsaw will do the job.
Hey. I actually remember this strip. I liked it.
They both did the ‘arms-crossed sexy shirt removal’. They both wanted the other to peek.

Having worn out the shoulders in several shirts I firmly believe that it’s more pragmatism than anything else.
Also that I’m super sexy.
That is so cool! Thank you that knowledge internet person!

… How else are you supposed to take off a T-shirt?
Pull it off by the collar. I’m not even sure how the arms crossed method actually works.
Why would you do such a thing? It seems like a really obtuse way to remove a shirt.
Grab the hem of your shirt in both hands. Raise both arms straight up. Viola, shirt is off.
I mean, it’s not like it takes any more effort and it turn the shirt inside out.
Although the arms crossed method works smoother than I thought it did. I must have put my hands in the wrong place last time this came up

Back in school they called him No-Nips Joe, because he has no nips
They are useless for men anyway.
Depends what you mean by “useless”.
They’re handy in a pinch.
Okay, that? That was amazing.
Seconded.
Joe is doing his Magical Girl Transformation Sequence, and everyone knows you get no nipples in those!
Needs more sparkles then.
Hrmm, is this the first time Willis drew something vaguely approaching actual nudity?

stopped or started?
Love the Mega Man thing!
