She’s been re-reading the same Zippy the Pinhead strip for hours now. She’s going to figure this out, dammit.
How sad is it that after that comment I just had to hunt down the Zippy strip that ran the day this strip was first published just to complete the mental picture? (It was this one, for the record, though if we go with the one that ran the first day Joyce had the paper it’d be this’un which I like better for Joyce puzzling over it.)

What’s so hard to understand about Ziggy? He’s the RPM Green Ranger who used to work for the mob until he found a shipment he was carrying was full of Medical equipment and delivered then to sick orphans.
And then he left Corinith to hide out in a Post-Apocalyptic landscape so he didn’t get killed by mobsters and then hitched a ride back to the dome city a couple years later with a stoic Cyborg and bumbled his way into accidently becoming a Power Ranger.
