I’m not even sure who we’re supposed to identify with in this strip. Are we supposed to empathize with Joe? With Howard? I just don’t know. What is this strip.
I’d forgotten entirely about Howard’s evil roommate. Aw, shit, does he get a name? Do I have to make one up now?
The friend that Joe was based on was by far the coolest of us three, so Joe and Howard’s interaction in the comic is fairly evocative of their real life dynamic. Evocative, but in no way literal.
Here’s your annual appearance by the Resident Assistant. Storywise, if Resident Assistants aren’t trying to kiss everyone, I just don’t know what to do with them.
