Eh, what’s another Wile E Coyote style her-shaped impact crater (complete with hair outline, somehow) going to do, give a couple guys at the Denver DPW some overtime? She’s slowly repaying her debt to society in her own way.
The highlights would be perfectly fine if the source was consistent. As it is, it really bothers me in a not-quite-conscious way because of all the small inconsistencies that add up (for example, the highlight on Sal’s breasts suggests they’re being illuminated from the front while her hair very clearly isn’t).
It’s odd to see this character arc. Was this written before or after the Faith Redemption arc in Buffy the Vampire Slayer? It does cover some of the same ground about superheroes who go rogue and what happens when they want to fight on the side of the Light again.
you mean BACK in jail?
also you are totes gonna fall sitting like that, Sal
Well she survived the last fall she had from a 8 storeys tall building so I think she’ll be fine.

I dunno, I like the yellow highlights. They give a good “city lights” vibe.
Yeah, I got that before reading the commentary, too.
Same here, especially now near the shortest day, when I’m noticing man-made light sources at 4pm.
I was thinking I like the highlights. They strongly imply a street lamp/particularly rowdy sign.
I thought the highlights pulled double duty in showing it was an active part of the city but primarily to give the effect of the yellow stripe.

I’m assuming the highlights are supposed to be light from the city shining off them. It doesn’t look perfect, but it’s not terrible either.
