I do enjoy Sal calling The Cheese “feller.”
And, yeah, Sal wouldn’t necessarily know she’s adopted if… you know, that guy etc etc *points at storyline title*
“ackshully ah kinda guessed, what from they lily white and ah ain’t”
or idk, something like that
actually, kicking God must be hella awesome
I don’t think it was intentional since color strips were pretty rare, but Sal’s parents never appear alive in a color strip, so as readers we never get their skin tones as a hint she’s adopted.
We do know that Beef is their bio-kid, so we can guess pretty well based on him.
Right, but we don’t find out he’s their bio kid until we find out Sal isn’t. We can’t tell if they’re noticeably whiter than Sal until after the twin reveal.
I never read this storyline, so I’m vaguely interested in what actually happens to Beef in this universe.
So i guess that in this Sal accepted the deal with HA because she wasn’t brainwashed by JFO.
You’d think The Cheese would be aware that kids can be adopted by people who aren’t their biological parents.
At least Sal doesn’t care about genetic relations with her parents. I’ve seen too many stories where adopted kids just forget about the people who raised them as soon as they find out someone else pooped them out, and it’s always bothered me.
Go down that route, and your adopted family’s liable to hold some Beef against you.
