It would be funnier if his expression was happier in the third panel. Like “Nachitos? WIIGII! I love this girl!” and he completely forgot about Joyce just because of Nachitos.
This comment reminds me of the “Osomatsu-San” episode where the main characters were about to go rescue their kidnapped brother, but dropped everything when their mom gave them a bowl of pears.
It’s not really “you like me so you have to break up with her” so much as “now we both know we’re going to date, so you need to be upfront with her before we do anything else.” Which is less creepy than, you know, not telling Dina.
Okay, so here’s what I never got, how does Walky actually feel about Dina? Because to me it never seemed like he was ever actually into her. They hooked up out of spite, stayed together out of guilt for using her and pretty much have no good times together, everything either a misunderstanding, outright lie or blatent attempt at manipulation.
I think he likes her, just not as much as Joyce. He is absolutely just using her to get back at who he he really likes, but he still cared if only because he was so phenomenally terrible to her.
More importantly, consider how important their relationship must be to Dina for her to have a photograph of them framed in her room. A cheap printout with a thumbtack through it on the wall, sure; but she actually framed it and set it on the table.
aww~
and nope
Maybe if he puts it face down this’ll be easier.
How long have they’ve been together so far? I just thought it’s been a couple weeks.
As Jason said, several months.
Presumably, there was a time skip as long as how Sal’s backstory took out-of-universe.

If Mass Effect taught me anything, it’s that this trend will come back somehow even if we no longer even use paper by that point in the future.
And when we wil cheat on our love interest we will put it face down.
See? He’s going to stay with Dina out of guilt. 😕
Oooo love hurts….
You know in hindsight, “break up with your girlfriend because you really like me” is kinda creepy.
The plot wants what is the plot wants

Oh wow, now it’s going to be difficult and stuff…

Well, now it would just be an electronic frame. Cycling through that one photo of her and Walky, and a dozen pictures of her favorite dinosaurs.
How long have Dina and Walky been dating though? Had she not fallen for him pretty quick?
