Danny’s on the bottom bunk, I believe–he’d have to be for it to fall and trigger the “life flashing before his eyes” sequence. So it’d be Joe with the 2:30 class.
Huh? It’s a Maori pronounciation rule, which most English-speakers would only use for Maori names or placenames (i.e Whanganui). We don’t just randomly substitute them… are you from NZ, Coobee?
This was the strip I came in on. I was 12 years old at the time. I’ve been shipping Danny/Joe ever since. Its been much too long since I went through the Roomies! archive, I diddn’t realize I came in so early.
Do boys actually beat each other up over stuff like this?
Danny and Joe beat each other up over almost everything.
at 2:30, I’d be too tired to throw a punch. I’d much rather just shout profanity at him and insinuate his mother was a whore and go back to bed
“If you boys are going to get sweet, I’d suggest getting some lube, makes everything easier.”
What, no commentary?
Ah well. What’s there to say?
“So, um, yeah I like wrote this and the joke doesn’t really exist…enjoy.”
I know this feeling, one of my roommates gets to sleep til noon each day. I always have a morning class.
So, this guy never got an actual name, then? Maybe we should call him Ray.
Sounds good.
Thirded.
And yet noone’s commented on Joe’s choice in boxers yet.
So which of them has class at 2:30?

Is “whap” supposed to be a punching sound because it sounds more like…. something else.
(Especially if you’re from New Zealand where “wh” is often pronounced as an “f” sound…)
Sounds more like a smack to me. Not sure if that’s better.
Wh=f?
…HOW…?

This may actually be accurate- my roommate had to start working before classes started, and I used to laugh at her as she left the room.
We didn’t throw punches, but I felt her angry gazes in my soul for the rest of the day (I still went back to sleep, though).
“Uh oh. We have an RA.”
