Spock ears
on March 22, 2013 at 12:01 amI was going to say that me and the guy who Howard’s based on were huge loser dorks, and that I obviously shoved all of that onto Howard alone, sparing Danny…
…but Danny’s the one facepalming at a moderate interest in women.
So I think Howard’s the normal one, in hindsight. Danny, you repressed freak.
I want to think Danny’s facepalming at the idea that Howard thinks he can pick up chicks with Spock ears, but that thought bubble…
And yet somehow, the dude managed to attract three different women. At least one of whom was definitely not crazy.
It must hard being a main character if you’ve got to be Danny level sexually deprived that he thinks HOWARD is imbalenced.
See, I interpreted Danny’s thought bubble as despairing that Joe and Howard are on two extremes, and he can’t meet anyone in the middle. That is, Joe is so hormonal that he only ever thinks of sex, while Howard is hormone-deprived to the point of almost still being a child.
I like this world where my dumb jokes are interpreted in better ways.
Maybe we can move there! What other perks does it have?
Makes sense to me!
That’s what I thought, too!
That’s what I thought my first few readings too, but then this commentary happened.
I say we make it unanimous even if it isn’t.
That’s exactly how I’ve always seen it, too. I’m honestly confused as to what else could be implied.
I swear to God Danny is facepalming because Howard is expressing out loud a sexual desire for women.
Ok, I can see that. Maybe I was just dense LoL.
You know what they say about a man with Spock ears. They’re fake.
ELF ears, though, are a keeper.
Especially if they have long hair and can shoot a bow and arrow.
Also, Howard, there are no girls around, you might wanna wait on that.
Maybe he thinks Danny is a girl?
His hair is kinda long…
I sympathized with Danny when I first read these comics, but asexuality will do that to a person… college was pretty much like this. yeah
Man, and I thought I wanted to kill Joyce. Howard hasn’t been around for two strips and I already wanna smack him. It took Joyce a little longer than that.
