So what are we here for?
on April 19, 2016 at 12:01 amChapter: The Sensitive Scanner
Characters: Anthony McHenry, David Walkerton, Dina Sarazu, Jason Chesterfield, Joyce Brown, Lith, Mike Warner, Professor Doc, Sal Walters
Location: Big Boss's office
I was gonna say something, but every time I do I see that super angry Big Boss frowny face in the last panel and I giggle and lose my train of thought.
damn you, Willis, now I do too |=(
XD
BIG BOSS: “Damn their testosterone, indeed…”
“It what makes us men unique!”
I spent way longer than I should have trying to scrub a non-existent speck of dirt off my screen, thanks to that random dot after “damn”.
I can just see what he’s thinking: “Dammit, why don’t I have anybody competent working here?”
Did this comic jump around from one seemingly non-connected storyline (HA&MM vs Squad 37) to another (Joyce, Danny, and Walky making like dinosaurs) and back again like this when these comics were originally posted?
I’m pretty sure that Walky, Joyce, and Dina were all making dinosaur noises at each other in their boss’s office, with him watching, shortly before he told them one of their beloved comrades had been killed by a giant monkey. No wonder he has a frowny face.
Danny: ‘Leave me the hell out of this mess…’
I did not really like Hooper very much.
Oh wow, video quality was not that great back in 2001. And this is probably a futuristic representation for that time, too. I mean, considering digital photography and bandwidth limitations of the time, that’s actually pretty impressive despite the pixelation. I mean, heck, is that a CRT monitor? It’s got the curved corners of one. My god, we truly live in the future, don’t we.
SO IN THIS STRIP BIG BOSS REFERS TO FITZ AS TONY BUT THATS A DIFFERENT CHARACTER GEE I SURE HOPE SOMEBODY GOT FIRED FOR THAT BLUNDER
That’s why Big Boss is so angry, Lith accidentally reminded him of his late son.
Shouldn’t this have the same “It’s sexist!” reaction than the Sensitive Scanner analogy to women? I mean, for coherence’s sake.
No, it absolutely should not. Are you also concerned about “reverse racism”?
