Speaking of which, was I the only one who, when Willis tossed that phrase out, assumed that we were about to flip into Shortpacked!? And is that in fact going to happen, at some point?? I’m dying to relive that comic’s run with Willis’s retrospective commentary!
He’s said that he’s not going to rerun the whole of SP! on this website — just one specific story, plus the Mike/Amber story that was already done a while back.
The “mutant frosted honey bun” arc rerun was posted here. It makes sense that the other relevant Shortpacked! arc will too, so this site has a beginning-to-end rerun of everything relevant to the main Roomies/It’s Walky/Joyce and Walky story.
Where abouts does the “save Racheal” arc start? I’d argue it technically starts from Amber’s wedding but I think there was a gap between that & Leslie’s portal hopping…
Like, okay, Danny and Billie have two kids. Sure. And Ultra Car is Joe and Rachel’s kid, even if there was no pregnancy involved and she… hopefully was mentally “old enough” when born for her to be an adult during her relationship with Malaya. But that’s still only, like, two couples who have kids in the cast. I know SEMME was bigger than the groups we focused on, but it still sounds weird.
Yeah, that happens eventually, but I’m pretty sure that Donna comes later (she was born in June 2012, for reference) and I know for a fact that the DeSanto triplets are way later than this (since they were born in February 2014, while Bobby was at Mike&Amber’s wedding in September 2012).
I don’t like the sound of shrieking kids either, but as someone in my early 30s I’ve pretty much accepted that most people I knew in school either already have kids or are having kids.
There’s that “we’re pregnant” line. Pure stolen valor. Sorry, nope, she’s pregnant, he’s a bystander with delusions of grandeur.
You’re not supposed to like the sound of shrieking kids, it’s hardwired. The difference is parents (mostly) learn to deal with it constructively, singles mostly don’t.
*thinks about posting something intensely personal about other people looking to procreate and asking for “stuff” and figures maybe specifics are bad*
uh yeah baby talk is fun
Jason is not ready for it to be totally babies

Just the one storyline, I think.
Shortpacked reruns would probably go on the Shortpacked website

Well, I’d be just as happy to go (re)read them there, if he’s going to rerun them…
…who is “everyone we know,” anyway, Jason?

I think Mike and Amber had already reproduced at this point?
Or maybe not?
I’m actually not sure where this fits in the in-universe timeline relative to Shortpacked!…
Robin and Leslie too.
Mike and Amber.
But Robin and Leslie definitely haven’t had kids yet.

Mandy and Grace probably got rezzed at some point, so maybe them?
That’s officially my new headcanon.
This “I didn’t tell you because it wasn’t the right time” pairs perfectly with today’s DoA strip.
…dammit, you’re right.

Is it really “stolen valor” when she’s the one saying that?
Maybe Joyce and Walky have developed the power to switch brains at will so that Joyce can have a break every once in a while.
I mean we know this kid can screw with minds…
Maybe Joyce has a pregnant mouse in her pocket?
Or she’s using the plural to refer to herself and Bobby as a combined unit.
Or it’s the royal “we”, because Joyce is the Princess of Ponies.
