*ehem* I know Ultra-Car is a car and her history is different and all, but… if we’re going to treat her as asexual, it kinda hurts to read things that suggest that she’s like that because something is wrong or went wrong. Even if that incident is just having to listen to Danny and Billie
Yeeeaaah, this made me a little uncomfortable too, but Ultra-Car is already asexual via severe misanthropy, so if I can deal with that this is nothing.
I agree that it’s not great phrasing. I am a little torn that while some people are very happy for Ultra Car to be labeled asexual, I am mindful that by doing so, the circumstances of Ultra Car’s life sort of create a hurtful narrative. By Ultra Car choosing that label, I create catharsis, but I also create problems.
I need to find a way to honor Ultra Car’s chosen identification without losing the individual for the sake of the label.
Thank you
I was really hoping you’d reply since i wanted to hear your take on it, partly due to always feeling that i’m being “too sensitive”…
Yeah i’m torn on Ultra Car, due to a couple of reasons i imagine you already know, but if she chooses those labels (and the fact that it’s you writing it), then who am i to argue? If it fits for her, then it fits.
So, i guess i’m just going to always feel a bit ambivalent about her, since she does kinda represent the intersection of at least two aspects of me that usually go under and misrepresented.
Dont know what original one is, but as someone with No way of relating to the experience I would have thought that if anything, good or bad, that exposure to the viewing of the courtship rituals of sexual beings would have helped confirm to Ultracar her Asexual nature!
Kinda like me going on my first date with a girl at the age of 21 and feeling NOTHING was the first sign that maybe all the pictures of fat naked men i looked at might be a sign I am gay!
Question for you. Was Ultra-Car always a chick, or did that happen when you switched her into the bi-ped body? Before that, I always imagined Ultra-Car as a guy, and was that incorrect?
It’s Danny, isn’t it? Danny’s going to explode and leave Danny gook all over everything.
Danny is gonna Dan it up so badly that he Dans up his Dannying up
I don’t think you meant to sound like you were talking about a racist and uncreative comedian’s Asian character, but…
Good thing they didn’t do it in the car, or else she may have killed Danny for getting sweat and stuff all in her upholstery.
In fairness, she was going to kill Danny anyway until Joe talked her down.
Whenever I hear or read the word “dork”, I always think of one character.

That car’s thinking “I swear…if I ever gain the ability to move under my own power I’m stranding people in the Amazon.”
You know, in hindsight, this explains EVERYTHING.
Subtext!
“I’m thinking about knocking over a gas station, is what I’m saying here.”
Let’s just hope Ethan and Amber aren’t there.
You can’t tag a normal, what is it a jeep type thing, car as being “Ultra-Car.” It isn’t Ultra-Car yet, it’s just a car.
Just watch me.
Can we compromise and put “Ultra-Car-To-Be”?
Hey, when you’re a college student, any car you can drive is an ultra car.
Danny can’t drive it. They took away his license.
It’s proto Ultra-car.

Regardless, I rewrote this one a bit.
Thank you

What on Earth are they doing in the last panel? Scooting towards/away from each other? Realizing that their detonation sequence has already started?
I think they are doing what young Willis thought was sex. I dunno.
