I’d personally expect Dina to be the type to put in some advance research and know how poor a fit this format would be for suspension play for a non-abductee. In order for this style of rope snare to work you kinda have to use a single strand of rope and a running knot which is an extremely poor idea for bondage in general let alone for suspending someone. You are nearly guaranteed to cause nasty ligature marks and to over tighten the rope cutting off circulation leading to blood vessel damage and potentially necrosis, none of which is sexy nor fits the philosophy of SSC or RACK, and then adding in that line holding the full body weight of an individual just increases that…
I’ll stop now, I’ve probably already weirded someone out.
I need lessons from you. I have a character who’s deep into BDSM and would know these things, but I have no freaking clue of the reality or particulars.
I’m sure Joyce could get herself flipped over if she tried; she’d probably have to do a sort of one-handed pull-up against the leg end of the rope in the process, but as an abductee she surely has the upper-body strength required. Then she could drop down and only mildly trip and fall on her face.

Also,
Rope.
Sometime later
Walky:Hey Joyce…watcha doing?
Joyce:Oh, you know, just hanging around.
Patrick: Boooooo.

She’s a little tied up at the moment.
One of my favorite IW strips.
That is the kind of gag I’d expect from a Wile E. Coyote cartoon. So naturally I love it.
But that’s actually how pulleys work.
Well I think the rope had to magically get shorter for this to work
Dina & Joyce rope action.
Also an accurate summation of Dina and Becky’s first attempts at bondage.
hahaha

Becky’s, maybe. Dina has already experimented with it.
Wait, were we talking about Dumbiverse Becky and Dina? I can’t tell anymore.
Is it any wonder that these two are the ones that ended up in a relationship with Walky?
I’ve gotta say, that last panel was always one of my favorites.
That’s… actually quite diabolical.
I can imagine Mike wandering in at this point and putting a bear trap underneath, then sitting to watch…
…until he gets bored and walks away.
Still one of my favorite gags in the comic.
If I recall, Dina does as Mike to help her down so Joyce lets herself fall rather than let him.
I love the look on Joyce’s face. Made me giggle.
Years ago, I made that last panel my avatar for a little while.
