Instead of going to my first floor meeting, I went and took a shower in the wonderfully vacant bathroom. Upon returning to my dorm room, I realized that I had left my key inside with my roommate who was, and here’s the kicker, currently at the floor meeting.
I managed to catch the second half of it wearing nothing but a towel.
Ah, college stories… see kids, this is why you have to go, even if it’s just for one semester with no intention of graduating or even seeing the year out. It’s worth five kays just so you have a few to call on.
I would just relay important information about needing to do sonething and when the tenants do not do it, you just tell them that they should have been at the meeting and then kick then out into the cold. Pretty simple.
When we had mandatory floor meetings, we had roll taking, and you had to have a good reason not to be there. If you weren’t there just because you were blowing it off, there would be consequences.
… I have no idea what those consequences were though.
Man, everyone in my hall goes to the meetings, even though no one takes roll and you never find out anything important. Buncha suckers.
It’s actually because of Willis that I attend every hall meeting. Just in case they try to hunt me down and/or rip out my femurs.
Takes roll?
Or attendance, rather. No one’s making sure everyone shows up.

Today’s “Girl Genius” is brought to you by DoA installment http://www.dumbingofage.com/2010/comic/book-1/01-move-in-day/alone/
So, did this comic inspire the whole femur thing with Ruth in DoA?
Nobody showing up at mandatory floor meetings inspired both.
That third panel, being Danny and Joe looking at each other and thinking “well, that happened”, is vital to this story.

Did it involve the loss of something required to live?
I find it interesting that we don’t even see the R.A. …
