“Don’t give me more Melotian crap, okay? I want Morgan Fairchild. M-O-R-G-A-N. Yeah.. ’cause she’s my wife… who I’ve seen naked. Yeah, that’s the ticket….!”
Aw, you’re being too hard on yourself this time, man. The joke is that over-sensitive scanners are over-sensitive, and that HA has a very vulnerable ego.
Well, as a trans man let me just say that I am WAY less emotional with testosterone flooding my system than estrogen. My other trans friends, men and women, have had similar experiences (more estrogen = more emotions).
Some stereotypes have basis. As long as you have enough brain to understand that people have individualities, and you don’t percieve “being emotional” as a flaw of some sort, there is not problem with saying that women are more emotional than men. As a general rule. Because hormones. Emotions can be a strenght.
They are, and so are men. Everyone is emotional. My emotion is ambivalence.
I can’t tell if this is offensive or not, on one hand its stereotyping women, on the other hand, it’s Head Alien, he’s fucking evil!
Also, he gets owned while doing it.
I thought the joke was H.A. totally got burned by Sensitive Scanner.
Por que no los dos?
He did. Even his minions scored that round to the scanner.
So the HA is Jon Lovitz, and Monkey Master is Kelsey Grammer, but did you have a voice in mind for the Sensitive Scanner?
Great, that is how I am going to hear their lines in my head from now on.

I don’t know… I’m still trying to get used to the thought of Grammer playing Monkey Master. Eventually, maybe.
I’d like David Kaye to play Head Alien, just for this scene. 😀
no clue here, but I admit that Canadian Sensitive Scanner is Isaac Hayes in my head
To go with Kelsey Grammer, why not David Hyde Pierce?
Majel Barrett
Aisha Taylor

See Head Alien not even your freaking computer takes you seriously.
It’s not exactly his computer. Didn’t stop him from appropriating it, though.
A little bit odd to see the hench-alien’s dialogue in panel 4 to be formatted as a sports score.
I get it!
Which It’s Walky! Characters do you guys think you could take in a fight? For me probably Howard, and maybe Danny or Sarah
Anyone can take Danny or Howard in a fight. Sarah probably has weapons she’s not afraid to use.
I could take on HA though.
Willis, it’s pretty wild that you’re willing to show your ass, as it were, here. Maybe this can show how folks can learn!
ARE any of the aliens women or are they all male like in so much genre fiction?
I believe there was at least one explicitly female Alien in the 2014 portion of the remake of Year Zero.
Her name was Katie, I think, and she was the one in the mech who found Jason, Joyce and Walky when they crash landed on a Bermuda Triangle Island.
Don’t know about any female Aliens anywhere in the original run.
I can guarantee there’s at least one other storyline with a female alien.
It’s also the storyline with my favorite line of Sensitive Scanner dialogue. (Does it count as a line if it only contains one word?)
lines are lines, even short ones!
(incidentally does it accompany a certain emoticon lolololol)
It juuuuuust might!
Wait no shit I should’ve said “You’re really on the ball” god DAMMIT
YOU COCKED THAT UP
the joke is the alien is sexist and no women want to be around him as a result

Fun fact: Men also have the hormonal highs and lows that women do. However, testosterone really, REALLY blunts the effect.
