I’ve seen this basic joke premise used elsewhere as well, and I’ve always found it a bit odd. Maybe different brands differ, but neither I nor my wife have ever had birth control pills that could be mistaken for tic tacs or vice versa.
Tic Tacs are little candy-coated cylindrical solids. Birth control are little flat circular pills. They look and feel nothing alike. Or, again, at least the brands of birth control I have used and seen others use.
Carol really wants grandkids. I’m still kinda wondering what happened that means she’s stuck relying on Joyce for them. If I remember correctly Joyce has two more siblings in this universe than she does in the Dumbiverse.
If I remember correctly she says at some point that she’s got ‘grandchildren’, she wants more ‘grandbabies’. I don’t think she specifies at what intervals Joyce would need to produce a baby (or twin babies) as the previous one ages out.
There was no comic yesterday but this one and the last one both popped up at once dated December 5.
The “yesterday’s comic” is now (Saturday 12/5, 7am Eastern) dated December 4th.
sitting here trying to think of a comment, and the only one that came to mind was exactly in the commentary, whoops
ok, original thought: why does Carol have access to their stuff, I thought they had their own apartment (hence the “one bathroom” jokes)
even our families don’t have keys to our house, only did when we rented the old house as a favour to them when it didn’t sell
She took up lock picking.

I figure the joke here is it’s such a transparent move that even Walky figured it out
Robin on the other hand may have had the ability to shape mints to the correct size and shape (though not wisdom to tell the difference)
I couldn’t remember where I knew this from.
It was the Simpsons. In season 4, Bart gets in trouble for switching his teacher’s birth control pills for tic tacs.
In King of the Hill I sorta remember it being achieved with Pez and judicious use of an emery board.
American Dad! did that “holes in the condoms” bit at one point.
“No wonder these antibabypillen are so minty now”
Plot twist: Poking all these condoms prevented the twin gene
Thanks to the pinhole, the sperm could only exit single file. (Yeah, I know it doesn’t work like that, but I find the image really amusing. )
My great-grandmother was the only American immigrant in our family who survived to my being a child, and she spoke German.
I was going to say “I’d never make up hilarious joke German words like antibabypillen in front of great-grandma”.
Then I looked up the word. That’s really what they call it!!!

All the “boys” failed for what reason or other, it’s a Hail Mary
Joyce is the youngest of the Brown siblings by a decent margin. If they all had kids around the same age, Joyce’s would be the last grandbabies.
I want to stab her
Can i stab her
Y’know, there’s a question— can Robin time travel if she runs fast enough? Head Alien II had to get back from 2012/3 to 2005 somehow…
