Kt!

Characters: Jennifer Billingsworth, Sal Walters
Location: Danny's apartment
sal the reason you didn’t have any fun is because you were in jail and i’m pretty sure punching a hole through somebody’s head will send you back
Not sure I get what’s happening in the third panel, but I wager it ain’t good.
Billie did a high-kick into Sal’s face
That’s Billie hitting Sal in the chin or side of the head with a high-kick. Like cheerleaders do.
Kt is what killed the dinosaurs!
I’m pretty sure Sal was already not having fun long before she got shipped off to jail. That was, ah, a culmination of a long time of untreated problems (turns out being basically forcibly drafted into a secret army right after people murdered your parents is a BAD THING for your mental health. Who knew?)
You know, after the catfight jokes in the initial setup, it’s kinda refreshing to have Sal enjoying fighting for fighting’s sake. Not necessarily better from a role model perspective, of course, but it does help mitigate the “Really? We’re doing this over Danny?” vibes.
I wouldn’t consider fighting someone who’s not as strong as me “fun”, even if they started the fight. What I’m saying is Sal has a really messed-up idea about what’s fun.
Yeah, a super-strength abductee vs average base level person 1-on-1 fistfight is like pitting a first-grader against Evander Holyfield.
Though Billie does seem to be doing better at holding her own than that suggests.
Possibly because Sal’s holding back enough not to just put her through a wall and isn’t used to that.
Uh, don’t think beating the crap out of Billie is the way into Danny’s heart.
Right now, she’s beating the crap out of Billie to ease her own stress levels. She’ll think about Danny and regret her choices later.
Meanwhile, Danny is standing in a corner, munching on a bowl of caramel popcorn: “Is it wrong of me that I’m finding this intensely exciting for all the wrong reasons?”
Can’t blame him, a catfight is a catfight, even though it’s unfair for Billie who has to fight an opponent with superhuman strengh.
The timeline confuses me sometimes. How long was Sal actually in jail?
Several months at least, IIRC.
…sal, honey, when have you ever acted selflessly? like, even when working for SEMME, it was all about revenge
