Ah, I see Walky is prescribing to the theory of “everything usually works out for me.”
And I see Joyce prioritizes saving face with Tony over her boyfriend/boss essentially considering her acceptable losses for about thirty seconds.
Joyce isn’t in this comic, but apparently Alex is.
He’s in the background of the last panel. That obviously is NOT Joyce in the last panel, but she’s not tagged because… it would be spoilerish? ;p
For a moment there I thought Joyce was trying to kiss Alex somehow.
I can’t unsee how perfectly Joyce’s mouth lines up with Alex’s beard in the background there!
(Incidentally, Alex having a beard at all just seems… wrong)
I don’t get when he was alright with her being dead but I assume it has something to do with why her arms are stiff which I also don’t get.
I don’t get the “acceptable losses” thing either.
Yeah, it’s not like she was dead, she was just unconscious.
I read that more as ‘post adrenaline’, their teenage brains take over and so smooches take priority before things they know are more important
