I’m uneven.

(there was also originally blood added to this one fifteen years ago)
A good trick, when you want to convince folks that there are, indeed, stakes, is to take a limb! Folks might be thinking, nah, nothing’s going to happen to Walky. He’s the main character. Then off goes an arm, and then they’re like…. okay… re-evaluating……….
I hear DC Comics does this a lot these days. They love takin’ those arms.
so the limb thing only kind of works so many times until you get kinda numb to it, btw
“so the limb thing only kind of works so many times until you get kinda numb to it, btw”
Like warping Tony! Bringin’ it back around!
yeah most of the time you can only take someone’s arm, like, twice
3 times for Galactic President Zaphod Beeblebrox
I said most 🤷
Also DC likes to kill heroes, but they bring them back later.
True, though hardly a DC exclusive. Many, many superheros have celebrated their Grey Jean Night. (I’m embarrassed to admit it actually took me a minute to get that one.)
Head Alien: So what do you do? You nort a boy
Xehanort and Head Alien… I’m not sure who would learn from who there but I would love to see that meeting.
…i never knew i needed this crossover.
“the limb thing only kind of works so many times” Tell that to Finn Mertens
ILOVEYOUPLEASEDON’TDIE
*sniff*
It still gets me.
Yeah, that’s a really good moment.
Hunter x Hunter uses the limb removal trick too, with… mixed results. Of the nine arms that get removed, only four actually stay removed.
I’m assuming nobody in SEMMF has the abductee ability to regenerate lost limbs.
Only the unseen Sal Amanda, who I absolutely didn’t make up just now for that terrible pun.
I award you one heartfelt groan.
With respect to limb taking numbness, Monty Python’s Black Knight takes the cake and falls in it head-first. Tis but a scratch!
Martian: Oh no! Bleeding on me! My only weakness!
Sounds like you shoulda called this chapter “A Farewell to Arms”
sorry if you’ve heard that one beforeHA!
Did Head Alien always have that colouring for his neck and wrists? Or is this a Plot Point?
