Okay, so I used to have no interest in Sierra Mist, and honestly couldn’t tell the difference between it and Sprite (7up tasted different to me), but relatively recently (in the last couple years) they’ve switched to a real sugar formula, and the fact that it tastes like sugar and not like corn syrup puts it to the top for me.
7Up and Sprite taste the same to me, but Sierra Mist isn’t as syrupy sweet.
I drink the ‘zero’ versions of all of them, depending on which ones are on sale when I need to stock up.
Diet Coke is really the diet version of New Coke, that’s why it tastes so different from Coke Classic. Nothing beats Diet Coke in a Solo Jazz cup for that nostalgic aspartame hit. I think Coke Zero is based off the Coke Classic recipe.
Moxie actually isn’t that bad. It’s kind of like root beer and Dr. Pepper mixed together.
SodaStream cola is godawful, worse than any store brand I’ve ever had. Their root beer and Mountain Dew knockoff are pretty good though.
‘Real sugar’ Pepsi and Mountain Dew Throwback are the best soft drinks Pepsico makes for the general market in the US.
Mello Yello is better than Mountain Dew, but I can’t find it in grocery stores in my area. Thankfully they put it in Freestyle machines, so I can get the ‘zero’ version from those.
I refuse to drink anything with artificial sweeteners in them, I don’t want those chemicals in my system. And I think aspartame has a gross aftertaste.
I have been on a bicycle tour which (unknown to me) started in the strange land of pop and only 250 miles later brought me to the comfortable surroundings of soda.
Mouthbuzz? Medicine? True Water?
…carbo bev?
the fuck are you getting Sierra Mist for anyway?!
So… you know how there are some people for whom there is a huge difference between Pepsi and Coke? And how they heavily prefer one over the other?
My wife is that way about Sierra Mist. She likes it much better than 7-Up or Sprite.
That’s a preference I can’t understand; the only time I tried Sierra Mist it tasted like Mountain Dew with added dirt.
That’s just inconceivable to me. I love 7-Up and/or Sprite, but I can’t stand Sierra Mist. It just tastes gross to me.

Controversial soft drink opinions time?
Pepsi is sweeter, Coke has more nuance.

I can’t drink diet soda because aspartame is a hellacious migraine trigger.
…and I haven’t been able to find Mountain Dew Throwback even online for months and I’m worried they may have discontinued it.
Are you looking for bottles? I haven’t found either Throwback as anything but cans in years.
Mexicoke is good stuff, but a little expensive. Coca-Cola Life (the green label stuff) is pretty close.

Burger King has Surge and Surge Zero, which makes going there that much more special.
That can also apply to root beer; while I’ll drink other brands, I much prefer Barq’s to any other kind.
it’s the best lemon-lime soda by leagues is why
Is Walkyverse Walky from Evansville?
If so (depending on which map you consult) he can invite Jason out to get a Coke and then order the flavor of Coke he wants: Sierra Mist.
It still bugs me that some parts of the U.S. refer to all kinds of pop as “Coke”.
It still bothers me that some places in the US calls baby back ribs BBQ.
In the north (disclaimer: I’m from there) way too many places use the term “BBQ” for what is actually “cookout” or “grill”.
I have been on a bicycle tour which (unknown to me) started in the strange land of pop and only 250 miles later brought me to the comfortable surroundings of soda.
“Hate” seems like a bit of a strong word.
Agree. Walky saved the world at great personal cost, sure Jason can respect that.
