He’s EXTRA-tough!

Location: Professor Doc's lab
Jim Carrington’s deal, back when I was in Junior High — even before I decided that everyone in SEMME had super powers years later — was that he would spin around like the Tasmanian Devil and attack people. I decided to utilize that idea at this precise moment and only at this precise moment.
This will not likely come up in Dumbing of Age.
And neither will Guns, for that matter.
It’s iconic, but it also seems wildly impractical…??
I guess if the Tasmanian Devil can figure out how to travel by spinning like that, so can Jim?
It’s both offense and defense if you think about it- the spin deflects most attacks while allowing you to hit multiple times really fast all while neither getting dizzy nor tiring…
Headcanon: Dumbing of Age Jim does break-dancing, with emphasis on head-spinning.
+1
… So you’re saying it’s possible.
Be a decent throwaway gag if he ever gets super drunk in DoA! Though I like Reltzik’s break-dancing idea, too.
Drunk breakdancing. Obviously the way to go.

Is Guns really shooting at Beef while he’s being pinned down by Sal? Seems… not friendly for Sal.
Well, I mean, no one likes Sal.
Except Jason, but I guess he doesn’t count.
Is it possible for a non-Stormtrooper to miss Beef given his size?
The Tasmanian-ex-machina bit can be excused a little– we’ve established that abductees have weird and variable powers, so it’s like in the X-movies when some heretofore unseen mutant suddenly does a thing. What I don’t fully understand is why Jason doesn’t shoot anyway and why Jim doesn’t expect him to. I mean, aside from the fact that almost nothing works out for Jason ever.
(I guess Jim COULD be Tazzing hard enough to deflect a bullet, but that seems like a weird assumption.)
Moving air has been proven to alter the course of a bullet, snipers have to account for it when they shoot.
Yeah, but not by much. A fraction of a degree makes a difference when shooting at hundreds of yards, not so much at three feet.
…oh. For some reason I was really confused when this fight wasn’t in Year Zero. I guess that explains why, huh? I had the ends of the comic mixed up!
