He evaporated?

Characters: Danny Wilcox, Jason Chesterfield, Joe Rosenthal, Machete, Sal Walters, The Electric Man, Ultra Car
Location: power plant
Joe here is setting up future conflicts between Ultra Car and The Electric Man that will never come to pass. Sorry! (“Electron Bombs” were what Ultra Car used to fight The Electric Man in my elementary school stories.)
And uh oh! We need more relationship conflict! Sorry, Sal and Jason!
No Strife, No Life?
The thing I’ve always liked about this part of proceedings is how Sal and Jason have effectively swapped roles from the early days of their interactions.
You and Joss Whedon. :p
What? No electricide jokes?
There there’s been an overload of them a couple of strips back.
If you ever decide to continue the Walkyverse, maybe then you could bring back Electric Man.
The implication is that if Jason is fired, they can stay together.
This should lead to shenanigans in which Sal works to get Jason fired, right? (I never read these when I read the rest of the series for whatever reason.)
I was thinking along the same lines.
Joe knows exactly how to instantly defeat Electric Man, so the future battles are already won, so we don’t need to actually see them.
…I’ll admit, as far as post-series relationship troubles go, I feel like this one works pretty well actually. If only because Jason and Sal never really felt like a good couple in It’s Walky, so it comes off as less “let’s break the happy ending for drama” and more “oh, maybe they’ll actually either work out their issues and figure out a healthy relationship with each other, or else split up and find other people.”
