Mrs. Brown (and Mr. Brown) appear much older than they last did when they popped up in Roomies!. At some point I realized, um, Joyce has five older siblings, like, they shouldn’t look thirty or forty. And so I aged them up a bit. And, sure, it’s only been five years, so maybe they got the same thing that happened in two years to Commissioner Gordon between Batman: The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures.
The “Carol Brown” tag only shows this strip and the previous one. When they first appeared they were tagged as “Mr. Brown” and “Mrs. Brown”. I went way back into Joyce’s character tag just to make sure.

Not that it really matters, because let’s be real, who would want to look up those characters specifically, but since that’s what tags are for and all…
haha whoops
Nope, Willis is not making this up.
It makes sense. Just because someone’s Jewish doesn’t mean they follow Judaism.
All the first Christians were Jews. Jesus himself was one. So why wouldn’t you have any now? Besides, people don’t always end up the same religion as their parents.
Except Jews for Jesus is a terrible organization that likes to do “street preaching” and yell at Jewish folks about how they need to finally admit that Jesus is their Messiah.

You can’t hide your past mistakes from me, Willis.
Carol calls Joyce’s dad “Dick” in the original strip, despite being referred to as Hank at every other occasion in the Walkyverse.
I WAVE A TORCH BEFORE YOUR WEB OF LIES!!!
I think every dad in the Walkyverse is named “Dick”.
Every dad? Now that’s a bunch of Dicks.(I’ll show myself out)
Well, one of them is Dick Lesse.
(Yes, it’s true…)
I really like this strip. Carol’s simple “Oh. Okay.” really sells it.
Jews for Jesus are basically just Christians with Jewish ancestry.
And Jews Not for Jesus are Christians who are still waiting for Messiah, because they don’t believe that Jeshua was/is
Noooooooo. That’s…not correct.
There are… numerous differences in beliefs between Christians and Jews, and on overall outlook, not to mention following different religious laws, and… yeah.
Oh, more tag related stuff: This is Joe’s 420th appearance.
dank
Gotta say that was quite a fast improvisation on Joe’s part. Or the Jews for Jesus were so annoying that became unforgetable.
