Woah, oh, oh
For the longest time
Woah, oh, oh
For the longest
If you said goodbye to me tonight
There would still be music left to write
What else could I do
I’m so inspired by you
That hasn’t happened for the longest time
Once I thought my innocence was gone
Now I know that happiness goes on
That’s where you found me
When you put your arms around me
I haven’t been there for the longest time
Nah, it’s just that Sal remembers herself with more hair than she actually really had in the flashbacks. 😀 Take for example, panel four, and the original version in Underneath.
Neat update to the general style here–used to be that a flashback would just have thought-borders at the left of the first panel and the right of the last, but here, every panel has them. Gonna be honest, I’m not sure how well it works. Makes the gutters look really wonky.
I think it’s just because each panel is a separate scene, like how you don’t close quotation marks at the end of a paragraph if the quote keeps on going into the next paragraph.
You know, it feels as Sal hasn’t really explained why “she is who she is”. She is saying stuff, but it doesn’t really make me understand more about the way she acts. These are little bits, but none of them allow me to know her better.
Anti-Joyce was not Joyce. She was Joyce’s identical twin sister, with a very different personality, and no less her own person for that she was created by the zap of an alien ray rather than Hank and Carol banging.
It was just as much murder as it would be if Sal shot Walky in the face because she didn’t like what his willingness to eat puke says about her own genes.
If Anti-Joyce had shot Joyce in the face, would you still not consider that murder?
I think that at this point, Sal thought that her innocence was gone.
Soon she’ll learn that happiness goes on.
She took her chances, because she forgot how nice romance is.
She hadn’t felt it for the longest time.
(This song pseudo-fits to Sal’s overall story well enough to make me wonder if it was planned.)

Yeah, I was thinking of this song, too.
Well, I wasn’t before, but I am now
Ditto.
What’s panel 2 from, and how did Sal’s hair suddenly triple in size?
Monkey Master’s attack on SEEME, and I’unno.
Do not question the magic hair fairies.
She probably used horse shampoo.(really, it exists)

Sort of the comic equivalent of Wayne and Garth waving their hands around going “diddliddliddle, diddliddliddle, diddliddliddle…”
Makes sense, especially given my failure to notice that the new style only lasts for this one strip.

She hasn’t really started to explain it yet.
Why do they keep calling it MURDER, when Anti-Joyce was still Joyce, thereby making it a SUICIDE ?

Because that’s not true and devaluing an independent being with its own personality in that way is creepy as hell?
