The biology building has some cases, but I don’t remember if there’s anything from dinosaurs, and I’m pretty sure there are no full skeletons. It’s more like cases of taxidermied birds, and a few terraria of reptiles.
This didn’t hint at Dina’s doom too much to me, just because there was so clearly another way to read it. Dina feels alone, “separated,” “lost,” “consumed,” “forgotten.” She’s definitely in trouble, but it’s the emotional kind of trouble, and not inescapable. Not yet.
Finally, a Dina appearance in It’s Walky that I 100% like and support. Everything she’s doing here is like “aww!” and, for a bonus, she’s getting seriously into her paleontological musings in a way that relates to her other personal problems, tying together character traits in a good way.
Man, this comic resonated with me very, very strongly when it was first posted the day after my 18th birthday.
Especially that line about the wall where understanding stops – I held that close as a reminder that not only can you not assume others will understand you or what you do or why you do what you do, but you will not always be able to make them understand, no matter how carefully you communicate your intentions.
There are not enough strips with Dina talking around dinosaur bones in this universe or the DoA-verse.
Are there any such museums in Bloomington? or just blowjob cats?
Quiet, Joyce
It’s Walkerton!
NO mercy!
What happened to the NEW YOU?
Nice dinosaur.

On the plus side, that’s much less forgotten than most of us will be in 76 million years.

I was able to get all of this except “consumed”
Some days you’re consumed with trouble, some days you’re consumed by trouble.
Some days you get the bear…
… Ductile?
I’m guessing she means in the sense of “Capable of being readily persuaded or influenced; tractable.”
Also, “Can escape through a ventilation duct or airshaft”.

Hey, Dina. Am I sexy?

I really like this one.
Ehh, I’d call this less “aww!” and more “aww…” It’s less cute Dina antics and more heartbreaking Dina problems.
True.

It was sobering, but valuable.
… I could’ve used that lesson from this.
…Does Willis know what “ductile” means?
Ductile: adj. (of a metal) Able to be stretched into a long, thin wire
I think Dina (aka Willis ) read farther into the dictionary:
3. able to undergo change of form without breaking.
4. capable of being molded or shaped; plastic.
Can someone help me? I’m lost. What does she mean about the skeleton not being it’s own skeleton?
Oh god that apostrophe shouldn’t be there noooo
The dino-skeletons on display are all recreations made from casts of actual bones. Sometimes made from different dino-finds to make a complete form.!
