I may be being rather thick, but what does “lack of power to the hanger” have to do with “disguising the shuttle”? Why would it make it any more likely people would notice it?
Didn’t underground cartoonist Doug Allen draw a comic called Steven back in the 1990s that featured an alcoholic cactus? Maybe this was a subtle homage, considered the time frame when “It’s Walky” was drawn originally.
I know I wouldn’t look at something like that and think a highly secretive and well funded government agency was involved.
Maybe a “un-secretive” secretive and moderately funded, but not high and well.
But it’s so obviously not a shuttlecraft… I mean come on. It has branches!
Yeah, it’s CLEARLY just a Power Booster Rod bush!
It’s just like a real Transformer. Shuttlecraft in disguise.
Where’s Wonder womens invisible jet when you need it…wait a minute, on second thought this is good.
Well, at least he tried. I guess that’s ….. something. Not sure just what, but..
What in Hell can you disguise a shuttle craft as anyway?
Sand dune.
A large bird!
Up in the sky, a bird, a plane…
…So clearly the trick is to disguise the shuttlecraft as Superman.
A duck!
Clearly.
At this point, Jason should feel kinda dumb for not realizing Walky’s not at least a little Augmented.
I’m going to try to beat Linkara to the punch:
“You magnificent bastard I read your book!”
Launch it as is and let the USAF and take care of the fallout through Project Blue Book.

Maybe they can’t close the hangar door/gate?
Yeah, they don’t have one of those rope pulleys to lower the gate manually, looks like.
Why would they need that? SEMME Central is infallible.
That potted cactus kind of breaks all of my trains of logic for figuring out what exactly the hell it’s supposed to be disguised as.
A forest. In the desert. As you do in Colorado.
… Let’s just assume Walky hasn’t been in Denver all that long and hasn’t really gone sightseeing.

Thought it was on fire at first
Guess I got my question answered. Maybe, sorta.
