Angst… overload…
on September 2, 2013 at 12:01 amThis strip is why I placed that Ruth story immediately prior. Ruth’s dumb lesson has thrown Danny off-kilter. I’d say otherwise Danny’s angst comes from no where, but let’s be serious, Danny angsts at the drop of a hat any time, any place.
I never realized he had anything to angst with.
Do it Joe! Kill Danny! Or sex him up. Either or.
KILL HIM….BY SNU-SNU
😀
:/
😀
Seriousely though…Fuck Danny.
That’s what I’m saying!
+1
I prefer to fuck; Billie, Ruth, Sal, Sarah, or Joyce. But, that is just me.
Put him out of his misery Joe.
…or into a state of ecstasy?
Misery Joe is not the best Joe.
…
But still better than no Joe at all.
I think I used to like this Danny because at the time I was reading this I was That Guy as well. Uggggh.
Oh look, they’re out of my favorite cereal ANNNNNNNNNNGSSSST.
Not a jury in the world would convict you Joe.
Do it joe. do it. the world will thank you
Oh, god, the art shift! I hurts my eyes!
And welcome to 24/7 ANGST.
Let us all get the ceremonial Sulking Sticks and prepare for the introductory beating of the angster.
I actually got a kick out of Joe’s last/only line.
The sad part is Danny is right. Things would have gone better if he’d just sat there in his bed for the rest of the comic.
Doesn’t he have one important use later, in IW! ?
Yeah, if Danny sits in bed for the rest of the comic, the Walkyverse ends in July 2002.
That’s the next comic, and Danny spending the rest of this comic locked in his dorm room so he doesn’t, say, cause the death of any other characters, wouldn’t affect his usefulness there.
Waking up one morning just to realize it all doesn’t matter and you fall into a bottomless pit of existential despair…yeah, sounds like my college experience just about.
now he has a reason to get up and run.
It’s only now that I realize that this is the exact same thing as when Shaenon Garrity uploaded all of Narbonic with commentaries. I didn’t know it was a thing.
Also I’m checking the old It’s Walky website and I notice that it’s less than a year to It’s Walky (I forgot it started with the Millennium, very appropriate, I must say)
So this sotryline was all superhero origin backstory, and now Danny emerges as SuperEmo, the depressing superhero. His talent is that he defeats his enemies by angsting them into a coma.
Wow, the Joe/Danny shippers were really excited this page.
Also, wow, I can’t believe that without Ruth’s story this would’ve been totally out of nowhere. Good call, Mr. Willis.
So does your mom, Danny. For a nickle.
