on October 21, 2016 at 12:01 amChapter: Sibling Rivalry
Characters: Daisy Conrad, David Walkerton, Jason Chesterfield, Joe Rosenthal, Sal Walters, Steve Walkerton
Location: Segway warehouse
No, Sal has never met Ruth. There is no reason why she should have this phrase in her brain other than it being a fun subversion of the original sentiment. I knew it made little in-universe sense, but it was too difficult a warped connection to resist at the time.
Or.
OR.
Sal was secretly the guy driving The Truck, and she heard everything. We know she was in Bloomington that night! It all fits!
nice to meet ya Jean Grey!
I liked to think it was something she heard Walky mumbling in his sleep or in passing, who heard it maybe once from Ruth.
Either way still badass (where did the hammer come from)
Ah. Glancing down a comment reveals this was in fact the segway the aliens were riding earlier. Continuity!
That a Segway.
Sheesh Sal, Walky may deserve a slap or 2 for some of the stupid things he does, but hitting him with a Segway? He’s your brother for Christ’s sake!
I was wondering where she had gotten the giant hammer
Hammerspace, DUH
Wait we know Sal was in Bloomington that night?? Another thing I don’t remember.
Yeah. The accident, Ruth’s death, Danny waking up in the hospital, Joe walking out and Joyce following him, the Aliens showing up, H.A. breaking Joyce’s mind with porn, Sal and the rest of proto-128 showing up to rescue them, and Sal taking Joyce and leaving Joe were all the same night.
There’s a reason Joe calls it “the Great Shit Shower of 1999”.
Oh right. Thanks!

Honestly, I don’t even care that it makes no sense, ironic echoes are the best.
That looked like it hurt. Fortunately, Walky also has super strength.
Well, guess it’s time to update the “Act with Integrity”-Pic on the homepage here. My guess is, Sal was just annoyed at another Pokemon Go-Player and just wanted to teach Ruth a lesson…while driving a stolen truck to escape the Feds or something.
Head canon accepted, Willis! Heh…
Sal. No. Sal……..
Now that I think of it, “very well” sounds very weird coming from Sal. It’s more of a thing Dr. Evil would say.
One of those rare moments when Walky steps up to be truly heroic, but alas.
Hey, this is integrity. She’s just insane.
Would’ve been more effective if she’d repeated “SEE IF AH CARE!”
