After all this time, it’s finally the comic(s) we’ve all been dreading. It took me a while to come to terms with this the first time I read it. I kept thinking/ hoping the inevitable wasn’t true.
I’m still hoping that a daily comic and a MWF comic aren’t enough for Willis, and he’s going to retcon this and redraw the Walkyverse from here on out.

Getting these comics day by day is so much sadder than just being able to push through them in an archive.
Yeah, I mean, you can go through this whole arc in less than an hour, and it’s sad, but it’s all at once, like getting punched or having a band-aid ripped off.
Here, though, it’s parceled out one strip at a time, so you also have the waiting, anticipation and dread, which makes the experience so much worse.
