and also she fought joyce but this was written between the first and fourth comic books so the author hadn’t retconned that in yet
all those flashbacks
At this point of in the comic is it safe to read short packed without spoilers?
Shortpacked! is years away from this point. The story of It’s Walky isn’t even truly started yet. There are characters in SP! that haven’t even been introduced in this comic yet. (just off the top of my head: Robin, Mike, Rachel, Ultra Car)
Mike’s been introduced, he just hasn’t done much.
I dunno, does Shortpacked! ever really spoil It’s Walky? (Except for really close to the end). I suppose there might be an offhand reference to its events here and there. But I think you can more or less read and enjoy SP! without reading IW first. (I did.)
Then again, I pretty much read ItsWalky backwards. I saw the last strip, then just kept hitting the back button…. So I don’t really have a normal experience of it.
IW! and SP! don’t overlap much (aside from certain key characters), but there are several spoilery discussions of and references to events in IW, and not just at the end. I also read SP! before I read IW!, and the first time I read IW! through, I did feel that I already knew about certain events and outcomes because I’d heard about them in SP! first.
They mention that Mike had a certain condition quite frequently.
There’s spoilers in Shortpacked! for events that didn’t occur until the very end of It’s Walky!
hmm, yeah, that’s a good point
just to be safe, archive-binge what’s on joyceandwalky.com
http://www.joyceandwalky.com/d/20010520.html – Here is the current comic, you can read ahead from here if you want to catch up and read the rest.
Thanks for all the replies. I’ve been looking for this. I’ve been dying to read ahead lol.
“Plus, my parents already served the redshirt function, to demonstrate that the aliens are dangerous, so he’s not really needed here anyway.”
I dunno, Sal, he really liked that bicycle.
I got my bike stolen in college. In Ohio, in February. Did I mention that my campus was over 1700 acres in size and I didn’t have a car?
If they used to hang horse thieves and cattle rustlers, why can’t we still do that to bike thieves?
Because these are considered “civilized” times.
There’s that familiar fountain. The art is starting to catch up and become recognisable compared to what I got used to when I came on board with Shortpacked!
