It’s so weird going from Dumbing of Age, where Dorothy and Sal and Jennifer are people Joyce loves dearly, over to here where she’s got the creepy jealous competition streak thing going on with all three.
Funnily enough, this universe’s version of Joyce eventually gets a pixie cut, sometime between the Shortpacked story that’s getting re-run on this site after J&W concludes and the Roomies Book 2 Epilogue (which will also eventually be published on this site). My headcanon is that Jocelyne decided to grow longer hair after coming out and it ended up looking exactly like Joyce’s usual ‘do, so the latter decided to try something different.
Yeah, it’s especially sad because we HAVE the really cute sisters dynamic between them for a while before Joyce gets her memory back; I really wish that they’d gone back to that at some point in the Walkyverse.
We always doubt if Sal is alive but here we are.
No fighting for until you’re both healed, no cheap shots
As much as I dislike Sal and Joyce’s dynamic in this universe, I will happily admit I laughed at this.

Also this Becky still has long hair.
I like her long hair, even if it makes her look a bit too much like Joyce’s player 2 pallet swap.
(There’s nothing wrong with her Dumbiverse undercut at all, it’s just not my thing.)

“If you’re dead, I have to feel bad!” is a lot of my feelings about other people
Jokes aside I doubt she would want Sal dead after everything they been through.
I’m starting to believe sal is just immortal
Even I though Sal was dead for a while there, though I’ve read Shortpacked so I knew she showed up there eventually.
I am having a little trouble getting my head around what Joyce is doing in panel 3. Best I can tell, she is standing with one leg still in/on the bed?
Yeah, she’s swung one leg off the bed, but not the other. She probably got a hug impulse mid-stand and it couldn’t wait until she got up fully.
