I had this guy named Lloyd I needed to give a last name to, just for this website. It turns out that into another dimension Lloyd bridges not. Lloyd fridges, however…
You know, I’ve always wondered – Willis, was it your intent to imply that OUR universe, the one in which you write this comic, was once, long ago, a victim of unbalanced dimensional transfer, and that is why the universe in which we live is doomed to eventual heat death?
I kinda hope so. I always like a good sci-fi explanation for real world physics.
I read it as with in invisible “much faster than would happen otherwise”. Like if someone says “If you do that, you’ll die!” and you think “Well, if I don’t so it, I’m still going to die.”
I just assumed big crunch theory, and without the pbr it would be heat death. I don’t know when the original It’s Walky was made, so big crunch might have been the most widely accepted theory at the time. Maybe the all matter is needed for the secondary big bang?
Let me make sure I’ve got this right: if a stick gets heavy enough, it makes it’s holder omniscient, capable of destroying the world, and of creeping on each individual hair on Danny’s body. That checks out.
Wait…it occurs that I am not clear on what’s going on here…
It looks like the Cheese is dragging the PBR toward him, and taking Lloyd along with it…then Dargon shoots Lloyd…who drops the PBR, which Dargon, and not the Cheese then picks up.
But…that doesn’t make sense. Was Cheese actually dragging Lloyd and not the PBR? Why would he do that?
I think it’s implied he can’t interact with it directly, so he needs to drag Lloyd. That’s why he needs a lackey to extract the matter from the branch.
What about Jeff, are there Jeff bridges
I like how the Cheese has apparently never heard of trees or branches, tho
I think the quotes are there because the Cheese doubts this is a tree branch?
ding ding
So, Dargon’s trying to deny the Cheese a perfect opportunity to branch out. I see.
Yup, and now he’s going to turn and leaf.
What a birch move
The Cheese needs to learn to keep his mouth shut and not think out loud, nor monologue to the villains!

Huh. I always read this sequence thinking “and how is that different from normal?”, but it never occurred to me that’s what he meant.

Well, unless “it” is destroying the Philosopher’s Stone.

I’m still kinda wondering if we’re ever gonna see a version of Lloyd Fridges in Dumbing of Age.
Took me too long to realize the name pun. It’s a little cheesey.

Oh my
