FUMP!
on December 31, 2013 at 12:01 amI was super-winging it on these strips. Originally I’d written a pair of strips where Joyce freaks out and pees her pants while they’re climbing through the ducts and Walky gives her his pants to wear. Yeah, that was a bit weird, so I threw them into this creepy room instead.
Yyyyeah, probably for the best that you did something else.
Yeah, that… really didn’t seem like a good thing. Still doesn’t now.
Okay, so who’s going to get zapped with what?
Y’know, I don’t remember… -wink wink nudge nudge-
Can i make a call on your pho….
what’s the thing on the right? a man-sized lava lamp?
Probably Alien-inna-jar, but this is SEMME; man-sized lava lamp is entirely plausible.
Good thing SEMME’s air vents are person-sized!
…Wait, that’s a huge security vulnerability. They could be invaded by monkeys! Or ninjas! Or roaches! Or hamsters! Or Brits!
or Walkys!
Or British walking ninja-robot-hamster-monkeys! With some cockroach thrown in for good measure.
His name is Bill.
“I think they’re actually *intended* for covert transportation.”
“That would explain the moving walkways and vending machines.”
–Mark E. Rogers, “The Sword of Samurai Cat”
Might as well make them person sized, the Aliens are small enough to fit in normal ones so you’ve got to even the playing field.
Did you already know at this point that Walky and Sal were family? Cause I can definitely see the similarities in panel 3.
Yes. I knew they were related long before Roomies! began.
… I really shouldn’t make that joke, but sure.
Did you know they were related before your mum?
Panels 1 – 4: A reenactment of the Walkerton twins being born.
With Walky playing Sal? I mean, with her penchant for jumping out windows, seems like she’d be the first out.
Don’t touch nuffin’….
Well, at least he does articulate better as he ages.
Wondering if I remember rightly what that people shaped lava lamp really is. Almost think I do.
He was going to give her his pants to change into while they were still inside the duct, and go without pants himself? How would they even have enough room to do that? It would be pretty hard to draw, even ignoring the social weirdness. And then Walky’d be in his underwear for the next part of the story.
