Actually, I don’t think it is. This early to 1999, and It’s Walky! started, according to the old website, on Dec. 25, 1999. So we only have a few months of Roomies left before IW! starts. And some of that time deal with SEMME.
It’s like watching the pilot episode of your favorite show, where Riker and Troi can communicate telepathically, and that one guy has a Brooklyn accent for some reason.
Jason’s bowtie gives him +5 to critical rolls, which is less then an abductee’s +8 affinity for alien tec, but he also gets +4 from his charisma modifier, so if he rolls higher then a ten, he’s flipping got this.
What’s Beef now? only 9′ tall?
9 and a half. 10 if you count the hair.
So he’d rather play hero than listen to the advice of folks who’ve done this before? I thought Jason was the sensible one?
This is pretty typical of SEMME planning and tactics throughout the comic(s).
to be fair, this is a few years before the start of It’s Walky. It’s entirely possible that he matures A LOT before that starts.

Why, Jason. Why would you assume they would be lying to you about this. What benefit could possibly come of it?
Brits are pushy devils, eh wot?
Crikey! Give me mates a ring, I’ve got to take the lift to the lorry every fortnight!

No, Tony. Don’t thank God. Thank John Adams.
And Isn’t Tony supposed to be in command of this squad?
If watching Doctor Who has taught me anything, it’s that the dude in the bow tie is in charge.
Only if he wears a fez. If he’s not, well, it’s more like a child running around with a toy box jet pack.

Dammit, someone design a Walkyverse RPG. I’d play that.
Agreed.
Yes, please! There’s been RPGs for settings that are less playable (Pretty sure there used to be a Sluggy RPG)
I’ve always thought Jason could be a good version of The Doctor.
Since when is Beef’s name “Steve”? And why is noone talking abput that??
