Ehh, I don’t think Sal’s punch in the last panel looks all that bad. The facial expression in particular is pretty damn good, IMHO.
Personally what bugs me is… Heady II’s dialogue in the first panel, oddly enough. While I love the implication that he’s done this so many times that he has a whole routine worked out for Walky corpses, I find it kinda odd that he’d be this blasé about it when this is his last chance to do so ever, what with him being stuck here and all.
Ah, but in this case, he’s not saying it to himself, he’s saying it for the benefit of the audience. Pointing out that he’s not only kicking around Walky’s corpse, but that he’s done this to so many other dimensional copies of the audience’s friend and loved one that he has a routine built around it.
Honestly that last panel reminds me a bit of the Zootopia Abortion Comic panel where Nick gets… slapped? Punched? By this point I remember it primarily by Willis’s edited Tumblr banner anyway, which is currently a punch.
always the pallbearer, never the corpse
wait no
You have your hits, you have your misses.
Slow down, Buster Brown, thinking Walky and Joyce are dead is like assuming Sal is dead- oh wait
hey at least there’s a body this time
wait did the Martians destroy Walky’s body after they killed him?
As Joyce said, um… https://www.itswalky.com/comic/um-2/
there’s also a point where they talk about the martians completely destroying corpses, which you can sort of see in the page where walky dies
HAII deserved that hit.

The arm is a little wonky, I’ll grant you.

It’s not bad, but it’s not great either. It looks like Sal just gave him a quick jab.
I think a wider shot showing more follow-through would have sold the effect better. (The Sal vs. Amber fight sequence over on DoA is a good example.)
Maybe HAII should hold off on kicking the dead until after he’s sure that they’re actually dead.
They aren’t dead until they’re dead (and some light-years away from Martian resurrection machines).
