Ah, back in the before times when you could go see a movie in a theater with lots of other people and not be worried about potentially getting a deadly disease.
Days late but I have to take a shot at this: G.I. Joe is IN FACT a highly cultured movie, and in fact a highly cultured series.
During the course of GI Joe, we see a diverse team that just so happens to have one representative each for every culture and subculture you might find in the United States. We see them overcome these inherent difficulties to form the most effective force we have against the forces of COBRA.
What can be more cultured than a mixture of all these disparate bodies coming together for one noble cause, forming one core culture: Getting things done?
GI Hon Hon Hon
This account reserves any and all opinions about the hit, Golden Globe-nominated Netflix series Emily in Paris
Is Emily in Paris any good?
I put it on my Netflix list cause I’m a sucker for all things French, but I haven’t gotten around to watching it yet.
It is anti-French, so you probably wouldn’t like it.
It’s wasn’t for Joyce saying “G.I. Joe”, I might’ve volunteered “Team America: World Police” as the movie.
Does “Dude, Where’s My Car” ever get to Paris? By title alone, I’d consider it a winner in this sweepstakes.
Or am I confusing this with another Ashton Kutcher movie, where he’s in Europe and haha the cars don’t all weigh two tons isnt’ that funny?
Just Married was in Venice.
Ahh, thanks.
The general point stands: What’s says “culture” more than Venice, unless we’re talking Milan, Florence, or Rome?
The most cultured of movies

I watched old Kennedy Center honors for almost three hours yesterday evening, just as a reminder of what The Before Times were like.
‘Culture’ in much the same way stuff growing in a Petri dish is.
