What IS their relationship anyway? I don’t think it’s ever actually explicitly talked about.
There was the IW! finale, where Joe labeled her as “best friend” but there were a lot of hints at something more, especially given their online chatting history. Then we had the Company Car storyline where Ultra Car got a new chasis, which didn’t really give any strong indications to their relationship.
Then a couple Christmas strips which give off the most “couple-y” vibes, either that or she’s his company secretary. Then the elopement arc where Joe has to “ask Rachel a solid” to get her to come, which isn’t really how you’d need to phrase attending a wedding with your girlfriend or wife.
The best answer I can find is the “betrayed my kind” strip where he implies he’s “chaste and humbled with a single girl”. But I don’t know if this strip implies they drifted apart since then, or if they’re a couple who just doesn’t boink much anymore.
(Also while researching this I found that Rachel accidentally got split into two tags, “Rachel” and “Rachel Jackson”.)
There’s another arc that touches on their relationship a little more, but we haven’t gotten to it yet and it’s kinda spoiler-y so I don’t think we should get too into it here.
Let’s hanky-panky.
Yeah Joe! The correct phrasing is: “Hey, wanna fuck?”
“go bang” has a less desirable connotation, also
“We’ll bang, ok?”
“….”
“I should go.”
Go boink.
Dunno why that is marginally better than go bang, but it is.
A healthy relationship
The term my wife and I use so that our messages back and forth are PG enough should our kids see them is “visit”.
“Hey, Grandma’s coming to visit!”
I guess this means the song, “She bangs! She bangs!” wasn’t written about Rachel.
Heh-oh. Oh.
At some point, someone needs to sit down with Joe and explain the social and emotional side of seduction!
I’m sure “let’s go bang” isn’t even close to the worst way to ask your girlfriend or wife for sex.
“Yo, bitch! Come sit on my dick!”

See, this strip would be a lot funnier if instead of welding, Rachel were using a hammer, so all the banging necessary would be going on here anyway.
To be fair, engineering is like math but LOUDER
I have that on a t-shirt.
Rachel in Panel One pretty much sums up my thoughts on the reproductive act.
Play Go Bang on the hacked muzak.
