Yeah, here’s Walky laying down way more exposition than originally.   We only saw him remember Joyce’s hug, and none of the rest of this page was a thing.  But since this version of the story was meant to be more stand-alone, I flashbacked to stuff like Sal bringing her in, and Joyce being rehabilitated.  Joyce is definitely more down on the experience in these pages — in the original, she wonders idly what her life was like before and then shrugs and says “OH WELL THIS LIFE IS GREAT ANYWAY” and wanders off with a huge grin.  Walky’s more interested in her past than she is.
